Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Quiplos (“we”, “us”), operated by [Company Legal Name], processes when you use the Quiplos browser extension, dashboard and related services (the “Service”), why we process it, and the choices you have.

The short version: Quiplos only looks at an X post when you ask it to write a reply, it never posts for you, and you stay in control of your data.

• X content, only on request. When you click ✨ AI Reply, the text of that post, its parent post and a few nearby posts are sent to our server and to our AI provider solely to generate the replies you asked for. We do not read X content in the background.
• Your writing examples. The replies you paste in Settings are used to personalise suggestions. They are stored on your device and sent with each request. If you sign in and choose to sync, they are also stored in your account so they follow you across devices.
• Your saved facts (My Facts). The true statements about you that you choose to save — such as what you do or where you are based — are stored on your device. When you generate a reply, only the few facts relevant to that post are sent with the request, so replies can mention them accurately.
• Account details. If you sign in, our authentication provider gives us an identifier and, where you allow it, your name and email address, so we can link your plan and synced settings to you.
• Usage counts. We count how many AI generations you use, tied to a random install ID or your account, to apply your plan’s limits.
• Subscription information. If you subscribe, our payment provider tells us your plan, billing interval and renewal dates. We do not receive or store your card details.
• Anonymous product events. Optional event names such as “reply copied”. These never include post text or your writing samples, and you can turn them off in Settings → Privacy.

We use the information above to:

• generate the reply suggestions you request, in your chosen tone, length, language and writing style;
• apply plan limits, provide billing and sync your settings;
• keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
• understand, in aggregate and without post content, which features are used so we can improve Quiplos.

• We never post for you. You always press X’s own Post button.
• We never like, follow, repost or automate any other engagement on X.
• We never sell your data, and we don’t use your content to train models.
• Our AI provider keys never ship inside the extension.

We use third-party providers to run the Service, which may include AI model providers, a payment provider, an authentication provider, hosting and infrastructure, and optional product analytics. They process data only to provide their service to us and under their own terms and privacy policies. The current list of providers is: [list of service providers].

X is a separate service. What you do on X remains subject to X’s own terms and privacy policy.

The extension stores your settings, writing examples, saved facts, plan display state, usage counters and a short list of recent replies in your browser’s local extension storage.

Recent replies — a small list (up to 30) of replies you copied or inserted, with a snippet of the post they answered — are kept on your device only and are never sent to our servers. You can switch this off, or clear it, in Settings → Privacy.

Post content sent for a reply request is used to produce that reply and is not stored by Quiplos. Account, usage and subscription records are kept while your account is active and for [retention period] afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Data on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the extension.

• Clear your saved style examples and recent replies at any time in Settings → Privacy, and edit or delete any saved fact in My Facts.
• Turn off recent replies and anonymous usage events.
• Disconnect your account from the extension in Settings → Account.
• Uninstall the extension to remove everything stored on your device.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we process, including keeping secrets such as AI provider keys on the server, validating requests and rate-limiting access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Quiplos is not intended for anyone under [minimum age]. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at [Contact email] and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Our providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers: [transfer mechanism].

The extension runs only on x.com and requests only the browser “storage” permission, to save your settings on your device. It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history or any other website.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. For material changes we will notify you by [notice method] before they take effect.
